Fabric of the North brings together works by members of the British Tapestry Group, in a range of styles and techniques, large and small, with a single theme: our Northern heritage.

If a work is for sale and you are interested, please contact the artist via the supplied email address or website. If a work has been sold, we will mention the fact if informed; it will in any case remain on display until the end of the second Fabric of the North exhibition in Kirkleatham.

Living Local: Cutting-off a tapestry from the loom

This clip is the end of Fabric of the North exhibition film and shows the Iraqi and Syrian children cutting off their tapestry ‘Living Local’ from the loom, the last part of the film and time for a party*. Unfortunately, Covid 19 lockdown happened before the beginning and middle of the film could be finalised.
